  • I am avoiding studying SO hard....so hard that even after climbing a flight of stairs in the library, opening my books to the right page, and opening a word document to make study notes........I have found xanga more appealing.

My friend asked me "what was your favorite part of your life so far? If you could go back to any point, what would it be?"
I like it right now. Maybe not right H E R E, in Russellville.....or even Arkansas. But I like things right now.
I like that I'm in school, even though I'm avoiding studying for my three tests like the effin' plague. I love learning. Native American Art History, US History II, Music, Abnormal Psychology....I mean come on, All this knowledge is right here, confined in a single campus. And it's all mine, however much I want and am willing to handle. What other time in my life will all of this crazy knowledge be so readily available without me hardly even having to work to learn it? I just kick back and listen to a lecture, read a few books. Easy schmeezy. It's the life really. If I could be locked up in a library for my entire life, I think I could handle it. I want to know everything.

I also like my money situation. There's not much comin' in, but the little that's here is earned in some pretty stellar ways. I seriously play with dogs, tutor crazy kids, house sit, and substitute teach. I don't ever work weekends, and if I don't feel like seeing the kids or dogs, I call and say....sorry, let's just cancel. I don't miss schedules. I don't miss Hastings. Or Sonic. Or the gift shop. Okay I really miss the gift shop, but that's just because I lived in an amazing place and rode in a boat to Canada for lunch every day. How many people can tell that story?

I'm ready to explore. Road trips galore comin' ATCHAAAA

  • I realize it has been over a year since I've updated this. I don't know if anyone even gets on these anymore. Oh well, I have funny thoughts and they need to go somewhere.

So apparently my friend, Rachel, her sister is totally doing an impersonation of water. I'm sad because I thought my brother had the funniest impersonations ever. His dolphin and twister ones are grade A. Like every time I spot water I make him do the dolphin, and by land it's totally twister time.

It's cool because he has actually turned the twister into a karate move. It of course will never intimidate, let alone actually hurt, anyone in a million years. But it sure is entertaining.

Oh so my boyfriend took me skydiving for my birthday. On our way there we saw this dude hitchhiking, and all the girls in the van (that's right, I rock a van.....not even in the dirty way, like I just drive it...and you better believe it has soccer mom stickers).....so all the girls are like "pick him up come oooon" and the guys are arguing that it's a bad idea.....so since we are girls and we get our way, the guys slowed down to pick up the dude, but as we are slowly riding alongside him, we see the craziest thing ever. This guy's eyes went everywhere but where they were supposed to go. He had cartoon-stylized-piano-key choppers and two humongous dreadlocks. He looked at us with that goofy grin of his, and we all just said "NOOOOOPE" and sped away. Finally, after laughing so hard that no sound was coming from anyone, Eric mustered up a "That guy was.....effing...........bonkers."

We assume that he most definitely is incapable of speaking and probably eats weird combinations of foods.

  • I'm in the Library "studying" for an astronomy test.......

But I keep finding myself sticking my thumbs in my pockets and being mesmerized by how the stripes on my hoodie look when I move my thumbs all around

So all thats going on here is a nice concoction of facebook, xanga, myspace, and thumb striping. Throw a proto star in there too, maybe even a terrestrial and jovian planet when I'm feeling extra focused

    I'm also wearing flannel..........street cred?

So I don't think I did so hot on my astronomy test. I was really tired. I guess three days of intense studying is cancelled out by staying up all night before the test and making up scenerios for a comic strip that Kara and Alex and I invented predominantly involving "ovary" puns

As you can guess, the main characters are ovaries
And they are just so goofy

"How would you like your eggs cooked?"
    "Ovary Z"
    (overeasy.........get it?)

What do you do at slumber parties?

  • I keep a journal in a Word document now because I can't find my Harriet the Spy Journal I used to actually write in.....

It's a lot faster, but it throws all my imperfections at me in lovely greens and reds. It's Christmases out my mistakes......if you're going to let someone know they screwed up, might as well make it as festive as possible. Oh Billy G, you and your holiday proofreading.

Ashley and I are obsessed with Buzz Ballads. It sings us to sleep every night.

Also, we wear matching TShirts to bed. Ones that say "Nutt Hall." We decided to just accept the fact that our dorm's name was changed from "Summit" to "Nutt" literally overnight.....we sport the tees and crack the jokes....nonstop. Give me a Nutt Joke I haven't heard.........try me.

Is there anyone else left in Xanga World........?

  • College is just silly.

I'm having a good time....I'm not gonna lie.
Ironically, I think I've become a stronger person since college started.
I'm way more independent, and totally carefree. I feel like I have a lot of stuff figured out. Not Astronomy though, I don't have any of that figured out. Thats why I'm sportin' a 55% in that class. I have all A's and an F. haha! I'll just laugh it away...........

The thing I like most about these days are the adventures. I mean, this summer was full of incredible adventures......like with hippies and canoes and stuff, but now if I'm bored, I'll just drive.....sometimes to Fayetteville, sometimes to Little Rock. Last night some people and I left at midnight and went bike riding around Russellville. I've also played quite a few games of Four Square during my stay. Random fun is what keeps me going.

I've met a lot of interesting people. I love meeting new people. I like to hear their thoughts and opinions on issues, hear their interests.....its always refreshing to hear new ideas and see how people's minds work....basically anything that reminds me that everyone is different is a good thing. I try to embrace that fact......I don't understand why anyone would want to listen to country music or go hunting......but it's because of the fact that people are just different. It blows my mind.

My life is going to be one huge adventure. I don't really plan on making very much money or living in a nice house........but I will explore like mad and have a million crazy stories to tell, which is way more valuable to me than any salary or possession will ever be.
